Wire we buy
We Buy Surplus SOOW and Flexible Cable in South Dakota
SOOW, SJOOW, portable power cable and flexible cord in coils and cut lengths.
Flexible cord and portable cable is bought by the coil and consumed by the foot, so leftovers pile up fast: SOOW and SJOOW portable cord, SEOOW and STOW, type W and G-GC portable power cable, festoon and reeling cable, and the labelled cut lengths that come back from a temporary power setup.
We buy flexible cable in #18 through 4/0, in 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-conductor constructions, in full coils, partial coils and tagged lengths. Tell us the type, gauge, conductor count and remaining length, and photograph the jacket print.

Flexible cable is judged on jacket condition. Cuts, abrasion, flat spots and exposed conductor are the things that kill a lot, so send close-up photos of the worst section, not only the best-looking coil.
Used and removed portable cable is reviewable. Say that it was in service, and describe how it was stored. A dry shop floor is different from a year on a job trailer.
How to send it for review
Use the quote form on this page or call (614) 715-3047. Include the wire type, size, conductor metal, approximate footage, condition and packaging, plus photos of the reel tag, the jacket print and the cut end. If the material came out of a specific project, say what it was — it explains the lot faster than a description alone.
We review industrial cable and flexible cord from across South Dakota and reply with questions or a next step. Nothing is committed until pricing and logistics are agreed.
Questions about SOOW & Flexible Cable
Do you buy used SOOW cord?
Yes, if the jacket is sound. Removed portable cord is common after temporary power comes down. Photograph the jacket at its worst point and give us the lengths you have.
Can you take a mixed pile of cords?
Send a wide photo with the sizes you can identify. Mixed flexible cord is reviewed as one lot, and the price depends on how much is identifiable, sound cable versus scrap.

Send the details and photos
Tell us what you have and where it sits. Reel tags, jacket legends and a photo of the whole stack are usually enough to start a real conversation.
