Wire we buy

We Buy Surplus Low-Voltage and Communication Cable in South Dakota

Fire alarm, data, coax, speaker, security and irrigation cable in boxes and spools.

Low-voltage work leaves behind boxes and partial spools rather than full reels: fire alarm cable, Cat5e and Cat6, coaxial, speaker cable, security and access-control cable, irrigation and landscape lighting cable, and thermostat or control wiring. Boxes get opened, half is pulled, and the rest sits on a shelf.

We buy low-voltage and communication cable in copper, in plenum, riser and general-purpose ratings, in full boxes, opened boxes and partial spools. Photograph the box label and the jacket print so the rating and construction can be read.

Opened boxes are normal here. Tell us approximately how much is left in each box — a full box, half a box, a short length — instead of throwing out a guess you are not sure of.

We buy copper-based low-voltage cable. Fibre optic and pure salvage material are outside what this site covers, so ask before shipping anything you are unsure about.

How to send it for review

Use the quote form on this page or call (614) 715-3047. Include the wire type, size, conductor metal, approximate footage, condition and packaging, plus photos of the reel tag, the jacket print and the cut end. If the material came out of a specific project, say what it was — it explains the lot faster than a description alone.

We review low-voltage and communication cable from across South Dakota and reply with questions or a next step. Nothing is committed until pricing and logistics are agreed.

Questions about Low-Voltage & Communication

Do you buy opened boxes of Cat6?

Yes, as long as you tell us roughly how much is left. Opened boxes with the majority of the length remaining are the most usable; near-empty boxes are reviewed as a mixed lot.

Is plenum cable handled differently?

It is bought the same way, but the rating matters for how it can be used again. Photograph the CMP or CMR print on the jacket and the box label.

Sell your surplus wire

Send the details and photos

Tell us what you have and where it sits. Reel tags, jacket legends and a photo of the whole stack are usually enough to start a real conversation.
