Wire we buy

We Buy Surplus Tray Cable, TC-ER and VFD Cable in South Dakota

Tray cable, TC-ER, PLTC and shielded VFD cable from plant and industrial work.

Tray cable and VFD cable are the industrial constructions that most often survive a project with footage left on the reel. A drive lineup gets re-sized, a tray run gets shortened, a skid is built somewhere else — and a reel of shielded 1kV VFD cable sits in the warehouse.

We buy TC, TC-ER, PLTC and shielded VFD cable in copper, in 600-volt and 1kV constructions, from #18 control pairs up to large feeder sizes. Tell us the construction, conductor count, shield type and remaining footage.

What we buy

  • Tray cable: TC and TC-ER, 600 volts, copper conductors
  • PLTC power-limited tray cable for control and signal circuits
  • VFD cable: shielded, symmetrical-ground, 600V and 1kV
  • Multiconductor tray cable from #18 through #2 and larger
  • Overall shielded, individually shielded and drain-wire constructions
  • Full reels, partial reels and tagged cut lengths

Sizes, ratings and packaging

VFD cable is not commodity building wire. Shield construction, ground symmetry and voltage class all affect what the cable is worth, so send the full jacket print rather than just the reel tag.

If the cable was installed and later removed, say so and describe the jacket condition. Removed tray cable is reviewable, but it is priced differently from new surplus.

How to send it for review

Use the quote form on this page or call (614) 715-3047. Include the wire type, size, conductor metal, approximate footage, condition and packaging, plus photos of the reel tag, the jacket print and the cut end. If the material came out of a specific project, say what it was — it explains the lot faster than a description alone.

We review industrial cable and flexible cord from across South Dakota and reply with questions or a next step. Nothing is committed until pricing and logistics are agreed.

Questions about Tray, TC-ER & VFD Cable

What is the difference between TC and TC-ER?

TC-ER is rated for exposed runs between the cable tray and equipment without additional support. Both are 600-volt tray cables and both are bought here; the ER rating usually makes a reel more usable, not dramatically more valuable.

Do you buy VFD cable in short lengths?

Yes, if the length is marked and the shield is intact. VFD cable is often left in 80 to 300 foot pieces after a drive replacement, which is a normal surplus lot.

Send the details and photos

Tell us what you have and where it sits. Reel tags, jacket legends and a photo of the whole stack are usually enough to start a real conversation.
